Description
Landmarks on the San Francisco skyline, Coit Tower and the Transamerica Pyramid lit for the Christmas and Holiday season stand out beneath a deep blue evening sky. Coit Tower is aglow with red light and the top of the Transamerica Pyramid glows like a bright star with it's 6000 watt beacon which is only on for a few nights each year.
I took the original photograph of this image by bracing my camera against a stair railing and hoping for the best. I loved the picture, but it wasn't usable for prints. It sat idle for 12 years until I experimented with some digital "paint" filters. When I saw the results of the oil paint, I knew it was right.
