Description
Late afternoon sunlight sets the windows on an abandoned hangar at Alameda Naval Air Station aglow with deep amber colors, highlighting the window panes and textured patterns on the heavy, lead glass.
The Alameda Naval Air Station is located on San Francisco Bay at the eastern edge of Alameda, a small island city in the East Bay. The base was commissioned in 1940 and served a vital role for the Navy's Pacific fleet until it's closing in 1997.
