Brightly colored abstract bubbles and line patterns against a black backdrop resembling musical notes ascending into the sky.
This image began as a photograph of Christmas lights. I shot several pictures, each intentionally out of focus so the lights would resemble colorful "BOKEH" dot patterns. Later on, I combined the images to increase the amount of color spots and experiment (i.e. "have fun") with adjustments to see what kind of "digital art" might result. All of this took several hours to accomplish, but I love end result.
The original title was going to be "Night Spots" after a song by The Cars on their Candy-O album. Several people commented that the "spots" looked more like musical notes lifting off into the world from the musician who just played them. That was too good to pass up and inspired the final title.
