Very nice photo. I just heard on TV news yesterday that about 50% of these lights are now burnt out and they (whoever) is seeking about 5 to 7 individuals that can contribute $1 million each to the re-bulobing project. LF

Sometimes happy accidents produce the best images. Blemishes and all.

During a visit to San Francisco in 2013, I was able to capture some shots of the "Bay Bridge Lights" display one evening. Neither words or photos can truly capture the mesmerizing beauty of the lights shifting and weaving across the span of the majestic Oakland - San Francisco Bay Bridge.

I made multiple attempts at a "perfect" edit from the photos I'd taken and each one ended up in the deleted bin. Frustrated by my futile attempts, I put the picture aside for several weeks before trying again. Things went better this time and I saved 3 versions with varying levels of color. For fun, I decided to blend them into 1 image to "see what would happen."

I was pleasantly shocked by the result. It was not an accurate depiction of the scene and definitely not tec...

About Terry Walsh

Terry Walsh

"God is the artist. Photographers make copies." Why Photography? Because I HAVE to. My photography journey began with a camera my brother gave me on my 8th grade graduation. Soon after, a casual hobby became a passion rivaled only by my lifelong love of music. Music can magically transport a listener anywhere- real or imagined. I try to capture that same feeling through photography and take the viewer on a visual journey they can enjoy every time they look at the picture. Terry Walsh Dallas, Texas USA
